MALIN LANDSLIDES: THE TOWN WAS HELPED WITH RESCUE OPERATIONS

THE PROBLEM

It was a night of heavy rains, of July 30, 2014. A massive landslide wiped out the entire village of Malin located at 110 km from Pune city, in the Western Ghats. Mound of mud and debris that came down from a nearby hillock, swallowed up almost the entire tribal village of around 50 families. The rescue work began, but the stench was making it difficult to carry out the rescue operations. A meeting was held and PCMC was contacted. They knew who to contact, as we were already working with PCMC at their garbage dump yard successfully. And of course, we were happy to oblige.

THE SOLUTION

At a very short notice from PCMC, huge quantity of Odofresh Conc. was provided to the authorities and it was carried out to the land slide area and dilutes and was sprayed over the whole debris, which reduced the stench majorly and it helped the rescuers to finish their work in time.

THE OUTCOME

The rescue was carried out without any problems. We got the immense satisfaction that we could do something for our motherland in her moment of need, and we are sure we will continue doing the same, if need arises
